Honor of Kings has reached 1,000,000 pre-registrations in just two weeks after opening the pre-registration. This news was shared by the Global Senior Community Manager of Tencent, Evan Berman, through a LinkedIn post on his profile. Honor of Kings is the most played mobile MOBA game, gathering 100 million daily players in China. The game was released in Brazil in March 2023, and quickly became the country’s top mobile download, achieving instant popularity and widespread success.
The game was recently announced to be released globally for some specific regions initially, ending the global community’s long wait. Honor of Kings is set to be released on 21st February 2024 for Turkey, CIS, the Middle East, and the MENA region. Players from these regions can download the game from the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
The players from the abovementioned regions can also pre-register for the game before its release. Surprising everyone, the game has amassed 1 Million pre-registrations in just two weeks, proving its popularity and anticipation among the global community. Evan Berman, the Global Senior Community Manager of Tencent Games and Honor of Kings’s developers revealed this information through a social media post.
1M Pre-registration in Two Weeks is Not Surprising for Honor of Kings
The excessively high pre-registration figure is not surprising at all, as the game has been one of the most widely anticipated titles since its global version was first announced in 2022. We can only expect the figure to rise more and more as the game keeps on releasing in new regions in the upcoming months of 2024. Its Chinese counterpart has been a huge success locally, being the first mobile game to cross $10 billion in revenue. Now that the game will be slowly coming out in other regions worldwide, it can deservingly be the most popular MOBA game on mobile.
The pre-registration for Honor of Kings is now on its official website. However, pre-registration is only available for selected regions, with more areas to be added to the list later. All pre-registered players will receive a Free Hero Ying and Crimson Tassel skin. Pre-registration details for other regions are expected to be revealed soon.
